Recently, a 22 -member delegation from Bangladesh, including politicians, journalists, civil society workers and academics, has gone on a 10 -day visit to China. The purpose of this visit is to establish dialogue with the leaders and government officials of the Chinese Communist Party.

This week’s visit took place after a meeting between the Interim Government’s Foreign Policy Advisor Tauheed Hussain and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi in January. China is constantly trying to increase its influence in Bangladesh.
Analysts believe that this move of China is inspired by its desire to expand its influence in the region. Bangladesh, a population of about 170 million people, can be an important companion for China. There is a very strong trading relationship between the two countries, with bilateral trade to approximately $ 24 billion, which mainly includes Chinese exports.
