One person who has been working behind these agile players is a fielding coach R Sridhar, who played an important role for Team India between 2014 and 2021. Now R Sridhar has joined Sri Lanka cricket cricket team.
Sri Lanka Cricket, former Indian fielding coach R. for the 10 -day elite program to increase national fielding standards in men, women and junior teams. Sridhar has been included. This program is starting from 7 May.
Sri Lanka Cricket released a press release stating, “BCCI level 3 qualified coach Sridhar is quite experienced, from 2014 to 2021 he has worked with India team as a fielding coach in more than 300 international matches.” This 10 -day program will start from May 7. During this time, work will be done on fielding practice, skills training and match cinery.

This is not the first time that the board has taken such decisions to increase the performance level of the Sri Lanka cricket team. Earlier in the year 2024, Rajasthan Royals’ High Performance Director Zubin Bharucha was called to Sri Lanka with the aim of increasing batting standards. Former Pakistan cricketer Wasim Akram and former South African cricketer Jonty Rhodes have also become part of such programs.
R Sridhar’s cricket career
Karnataka -born 54 -year -old R Sridhar did not play international cricket, he has played first class cricket and List A matches. He has scored 574 runs in 35 first class matches and has taken 91 wickets. Talking about List A, he scored 69 runs in 15 matches and scored 14.
