Meanwhile, former Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar has accepted the invitation to become an honorary member of Melbourne Cricket Club. Melbourne Cricket Club gave this information on Friday. Melbourne Cricket Club is among the oldest sports clubs in Australia. It was established in 1838. It is responsible for the management and development of the Melbourne Cricket Ground, one of the sport’s premier venues. However, now Master Blaster has become a member of Melbourne Cricket Club.

Melbourne Cricket Club has written in its post – ‘An ‘icon’ was honoured. MCC is pleased to announce that former Indian captain Sachin Tendulkar has accepted Honorary Cricket Membership in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the game. Earlier, Sachin Tendulkar was honored with Honorary Life Membership of Yorkshire County Cricket Club in England in the year 2014. Apart from this, Master Blaster is also a life member of Marylebone Cricket Club.

Sachin Tendulkar scored 100 international centuries for India, scoring 34,357 runs in 664 matches.
