New Delhi. Amid the electric vehicle (EV) revolution in India, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India has launched its first two electric models, Honda Activa E and Honda QC 1. Booking has started and deliveries are scheduled to start from February 2025. Bookings for Honda Activa e are happening only at select dealerships in Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru, while QC 1 can be booked in Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Chandigarh. Their prices will be revealed at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 later this month.
Market experts are assuming that Honda’s Activa scooter will compete directly with Ola S1. The price can also be decided keeping these in mind.
Honda Activa E: Scooter
Honda’s Activa scooter has been very much liked in India. Due to good pickup and low maintenance, this ride emerged as the first choice of the people. Now that the company has launched its electric scooter, it wants to cash in on these names. Honda Activa E is based on the design and frame of the company’s most popular scooter Activa. It competes with the 110 cc petrol engine parallel electric scooter segment. The company claims to sell more than 2.5 million Activas every year.

Design and features
Activa E has LED combination lights and indicators, which give it a sleek and attractive look. It has three riding modes – Standard, Sport and ECON. Apart from this, through “Honda RoadSync Duo” technology, you can avail features like calls and navigation by connecting your smartphone via Bluetooth.
Battery and performance
Activa E has two “Honda Mobile Power Pack E” swappable batteries, which give a maximum power of 8 bhp along with 5.6 bhp. It can travel 102 kilometers in a single charge. Its motor is located on the wheel-side.

Honda QC 1 : Moped
Honda QC 1 has been kept in the category of moped, which makes it different from scooter. This model has been specially designed for Indian customers. The design of the QC 1 is similar to the Activa E, but it lacks the high mounted LED DRLs and chrome elements. It has a 1.5 kWh fixed battery, which can be charged at home. This battery gives maximum power up to 2.4 BHP with 1.6 BHP. Its claimed range is 80 kilometers.
Features and Security
It has a 5-inch LCD instrument panel, which shows battery level, speed and other information. Along with this, USB Type-C charging port and helmet storage space is provided under the seat. For safety, it has been provided with drum brakes at the front.
