Sunita Ahujawho is known for her candid personality and sharp wit, recently opened up about her evolving feelings of security in her marriage to Bollywood icon Govinda. In an interview with Hindi Rush, Sunita revealed how her perspective has shifted over the years, particularly now that the actor has crossed the age of 60.
Sunita shared that during Govinda’s peak years in the film industry, she felt secure in their relationship despite rumors linking him to his co-stars. “I was very secure before, but not now. What is it, after 60 people also become friends. He has crossed 60, and you never know what he will do,” she said with her signature humor. (I used to be very secure earlier, but I’m not anymore. After 60, people can change, and you never know what they’ll do.)
When asked if rumors during Govinda’s younger days affected her, she admitted they didn’t bother her much at the time because she trusted his busy schedule kept him grounded. However, she acknowledged that if similar gossip surfaced now, it might make her uneasy.
She joked about human unpredictability, saying, “I am saying again, never trust anyone, man changes colors like a chameleon, brother.” (I’m telling you again, don’t trust men; they change colors like chameleons.)
Sunita also mentioned her playful jabs at Govinda during their appearances on Kapil Sharma’s comedy show. She recounted teasing him on-air but later cautioning him against taking her remarks too seriously.
Despite the humor and occasional insecurities, Sunita and Govinda have built a relationship defined by trust and mutual understanding. Married since March 11, 1987, the couple has two children, Tina Ahuja and Yashvardhan, and continue to stand by each other through life’s ups and downs.
