Serbia Prime Minister Milos Wuswik resigned from the post on Tuesday. According to CNN report, protests were going on in the country since November to remove him.
In fact, a part of the roof of the railway station collapsed on 1 November in Novi Sad, the second largest city of Serbia. Fifteen people died in this.
After this incident, protests against the government started in the country. Thousands of people came down on the streets and demanded accountability of the incident. People alleged that the incident occurred due to corruption in construction projects.

The resignation of Prime Minister Wuswik is expected to be held ahead of timely parliamentary elections in the country. According to Serbia law, it should be approved by the Parliament of Serbia after the Prime Minister’s resignation. The Prime Minister should be elected within 30 days after approval. If this is not the case, general elections can be held.
