Indian captain Rohit Sharma, who returned to form by scoring a century in the second ODI against England, called it another innings but also admitted that it is not easy to score as easy as it seems.
Rohit scored 119 off 90 balls which included 12 fours and seven sixes. Thanks to his innings, India won by four wickets in the second ODI and took an unassailable 2–0 lead in a three -match series. In the video released by the Cricket Board of India (BCCI), Rohit said, “When you have been playing for so many years and you have scored a lot of runs, it means some meaning.”
He said, “I have been playing for a long time and I know what I am expecting.” So it is related to the ground and playing my natural game and I did this today (Sunday). ”
This was Rohit’s first century in ODI cricket after October 2023. During this, he played 13 matches with five half -centuries. If you talk about all the format, then this is their first hundred after March 2024.
He said, “The only thing in my mind was that I will do the way I should bat.” My attitude will not change with one or two innings. It was also like another innings. ”
Rohit, however, admitted that it is not easy to return to the form despite understanding the entire process well. He said, “You must have done something good only then you have scored so many runs. You only need to return to this mindset because you know how runs are scored. ”
Rohit said, “It is not as easy as it seems. But I was enjoying the game completely and you play for this. I enjoyed the game more than anything else. “He said,” You have to play your role. Our job is to play on the field. When you feel that you do your best, it matters a lot. ”
