Outgoing Chief Minister Atishi said on Thursday that the problem of power cuts has started in Delhi within three days of the end of the catch on the capital of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). However, the BJP has called it nonsense.
Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva said that according to his information, there is no power cut anywhere in Delhi and he challenged Atishi that instead of making a “baseless” statement, he should explain which areas are getting power cuts.
He also warned the power distribution companies that if they cooperate with the caretaker Chief Minister in making unnecessary delays in repairing power cuts or disturbances, they should be ready for investigation after forming a new government.
The senior leader of AAP said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) wants to make Delhi a Uttar Pradesh, which is known for hours of power cuts.
There is no immediate response from the BJP. Addressing a press conference, Atishi claimed that within three days of AAP’s exit in Delhi, there were reports of power cuts more than 40 times from different areas of the city and people have now started buying inverters. .
He alleged, “The power sector under the AAP government was constantly monitored, which has now collapsed within three days of the BJP came to power.”
He alleged that the BJP does not know how to rule and it will create a situation of power cuts in Delhi like Uttar Pradesh.
The BJP defeated AAP in the Delhi assembly elections held on February 5 and took away power from them.
The BJP won 48 seats out of 70 assembly seats and returned to Delhi after 26 years, but the party has not yet formed the government.
Sachdeva alleged whether Atishi and other leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party are engaged in spreading “lies and confusion” about power cuts.
He said, “The whole of Delhi knows that for many years the Aam Aadmi Party government has been exploiting people in collusion with private power distribution companies.”
He said, “Now when the BJP government is going to come to power, the caretaker Chief Minister is conspiring, and is adopting a strategy to create fear.”
Sachdeva said that there is no power cut anywhere in Delhi and alleged that “Acting Chief Minister (Atishi) and power distribution companies have unnecessarily delayed in correcting power cuts in collusion.”
