On the last trading day of the week today i.e. on 14 February, the Sensex was up 250 points to 76,388 levels. The Nifty also has a gain of 60 points, it is trading at the level of 23,090.
The Sensex has a rise in 26 out of 30 shares and a decline in 4. Out of 50 shares of Nifty, 43 are rose and 7 decline. The IT sector of the NSE Sectoral Index is the highest up by 0.56%.
Asian markets also boom
- Korea in the Asian market has a growth of 0.50%. Hong Kong’s Hangseng is 2.39% and China’s Shanghai Composite Index is 0.25%.
- On 13 February, Foreign Investors (FIIs) sold shares worth Rs 2,789.91 crore. During this period, domestic investors (DIIs) bought shares worth Rs 2,934.50 crore.
- On February 13, the US Dow Jones rose 0.77% to close at 44,711. The S&P 500 index climbed 1.04% to close at 6,115. Nasdaq climbed 1.50%.
The market was closed yesterday with a decline
Earlier yesterday i.e. on 13 February, the Sensex fell 32 points to close at 76,138 levels. The Nifty also fell by 13 points, it closed at 23,031 levels.
Of the 30 shares of the Sensex, 15 declined and 15 were rose. Of the 50 shares of Nifty, 27 declined and 23 declined. The IT sector of the NSE Sectoral Index was the biggest decline of 1.00%.
