IPL 2025, Delhi Capitals: Former England captain Kevin Pietersen has been appointed as his mentor in Delhi Capitals for IPL 2025. Peterson has also played for many teams including Delhi Capitals in the IPL. Peterson will work with the team’s head coach Hemang Badani, Matthew Mot (Assistant Coach), Munaf Patel (bowling coach) and Venugopal Rao (Cricket Director) to strengthen the team.
This will be Kevin Pietersen’s first coaching experience in the IPL. He last played league cricket in 2016. He played for 3 IPL franchises from 2009 to 2016. It also includes Delhi Capitals (then Delhi Daredevils). He also captained 17 matches in the IPL. In 2009, Peterson captained Royal Challengers Bangalore. After this, in 2014, he captained Daredevils during the entire season. However, the team’s performance was poor. At that season, Delhi stood at the bottom of the points table with two wins in 14 matches.
