An Indian nurse has died under suspicious circumstances in Brisbane, Australia. The deceased has been identified as 23 -year -old Damanpreet Singh of Sultanpur Lodhi of Kapurthala. Damanpreet’s body was found in the Brisbane River on 15 March.

According to the information, Damanpreet went to Australia to do nursing course about seven years ago. He completed a three -year diploma and two -year degree there. He was currently working as a nurse. On the day of the incident, Damanpreet was going to meet his sister Amandeep after returning from duty.

The sister informed the local police when Damanpreet’s mobile was closed for a long time. Later, the Sandgate police informed Amandeep about the body. The deceased’s father Jagjit Singh said that Damanpreet was unmarried and has three sisters and a brother. The family has appealed to the Ministry of External Affairs and Rajya Sabha member Sant Balbir Singh Sechewal to help in bringing the body to India.
