Bcci Central Contract List: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) recently released the Central Contract List Women of women cricketers. The list is yet to be released for the Mains team, but different speculation has started before the announcement. 16 players have been included in the list of women cricketers, while the names of 30 players were included in the old list of Mains cricketers. A new news has come out that not all the members of the board agree with the A+ category.
According to a report published in NDTV, the list of Central Contract is being prepared by the National Selection Committee. The advice of Team India’s head coach and BCCI Secretary Devjit Saikia is also being taken to prepare the list. Currently, the names of Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Jaspreet Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja are present in the A+ category. But according to the new update, not all the members of the board are currently in favor of retaining the players involved in the A+ category.
How is the selection in A+ category?
The players who are playing all three formats, some of them are given a place in the A+ category. Since Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja have retired from T20 cricket, perhaps this is why they have doubts about being placed in the A+ category. But an effective personality present in BCCI believes that the list should be kept in the same way.
Ashwin out, promotion to Akshar Patel
Ravichandran Ashwin will be excluded from the BCCI contract list as he has retired from international cricket. At the same time, Akshar Patel, who has been appointed as the vice -captain of India’s T20 team recently, can be promoted from B category to A. This season Shreyas Iyer has played 11 ODI matches, his return to the Central Contract List is almost fixed.
