In fact, BCCI Vice President Rajiv Shukla recently said on playing against Pakistan, “We will not play any bilateral series with Pakistan. What will be our government’s decision, we will do the same. We will not play a series with Pakistan due to the stance of the government. But as far as ICC event is concerned, we will be obliged to play with Pakistan due to the ICC.”
Since the Asia Cup is organized, not the Pakistan Cricket Board or BCCI, but the Asian Cricket Council (ACC). In such a situation, due to being a member of ACC, India and Pakistan may be obliged to play with each other.
Can India get Pakistan out of Asia Cup?
When the Champions Trophy 2025 was held, due to the attitude of BCCI, there were speculations that the tournament could be taken away from Pakistan. Even many people started demanding that Pakistan be excluded from the tournament. Now the question is, is there anything possible in the Asia Cup due to BCCI’s attitude? In fact, the post of Asian Cricket Council is currently holding the post of PCB, Mohsin Raza Naqvi, the current chairman of PCB. ACC is a separate council, due to the influence of Mohsin Naqvi, it will not be possible to make Pakistan out of the tournament by putting pressure on for India.
