IPL 2025 shreyas ayer: Punjab Kings captain Shreyas Iyer has been fined for maintaining a slow over speed. Punjab won by four wickets against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in Chepock on Wednesday. Iyer has been fined Rs 12 lakh. It was PBKS’s first over-per off crime in IPL 2025 under the code of conduct of the tournament. PBKS was also forced to bring an additional player inside the circle before the start of the 19th over.
The 49th match of the season was played between Chennai Super Kings and Punjab Kings in Chepock on Wednesday in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025.
Earlier, Lucknow Super Giants captain Rishabh Pant, Shubman Gill (Gujarat Titans), Akshar Patel (Delhi Capitals), Sanju Samson (Rajasthan Royals), Rajat Patidar (Royal Challengers Bangalore), Ryan Parag (Rajasthan Royals) and Hardik Pandya (Mumbai Indians) have been fined for slow over speed in this season.
Yuzvendra Chahal performed brilliant bowling in front of CSK. He took 4 wickets for 32 runs. Chahal also took the first hat -trick of IPL 2025. CSK, which was moving towards a big score, was stopped by Punjab on 190 runs on the basis of Chahal’s brilliant bowling.
With this victory, PBKS won the sixth win in 10 matches and has reached second place with 13 points. In the points table, Punjab has surpassed three teams for 12 points.
Meanwhile, the CSK became the first team to be out of the playoff race, as they are at the bottom of the table with just two wins in 10 matches.
CSK started this season with a win. But, due to poor batting and bowling in his played matches, CSK is continuously losing at his house. CSK, who once dominated Chepock, has failed to save its fort in this season.
