Shamar joseph rape allegations: West Indies star bowler Shamar Joseph is currently involved in a great form. In the first Test match against Australia, he took a total of 9 wickets in both innings, but he has suffered a problem between this amazing form. He has been accused of serious allegations like rape and sexual harassment of 11 women. A media report said that he raped 11 girls, including a young girl. The age of a girl is only 18 years old among those who filed a complaint against Joseph.
According to a renowned media channel in Guyana, the 18 -year -old girl said that Shamar Joseph misbehaved with her at the New Amsterdam on 3 March 2023. It was told that Joseph had celebrated the girl to come with him by giving an excuse of social interaction. But the cricketer raped the victim in the room. The victim’s family also accused Shamar Joseph that an attempt is being made to suppress the case.
As soon as a case came to light, after some time other women have also kept screenshots, voice notes, medical reports and messages as evidence. One of the victims also claimed that Joseph had offered to keep her mouth shut on the basis of money. However, the charge has not been proved in the case against Joseph yet. The counsel for one of the complainants said that the first complaint against Shamar Joseph was lodged in 2023.
The lawyer claimed that after the complaint was filed, the same type of questions have been raised to the victims several times, but the matter is not moving forward. Even the legal process in Guyana is being questioned.
