Referring to the huge democracy of India, PM Modi said, “India is often called the mother of democracy. Democracy is not only a system of governance for us, it is a way to live life, which lies deeply in our fundamental values. We have maintained democratic principles for thousands of years.”
PM Modi said, from the ancient Republic of Vaishali to the knowledge of the Rigveda, one of the oldest scriptures in the world, which states that good thoughts from all directions come to us. This openness towards ideas is at the core of our democratic ethos. Today there are more than 2,000 political parties, 22 official languages and thousands of dialects in India. This diversity is not a challenge. This is our strength. This is the reason that people coming to India for centuries have always been welcomed with an open heart. “

Indian women are pious in science, airlines and sports.
