Cricket Australia believes it is the largest mass crowd we could see since 3,00,270 spectators turned out to watch an Australia vs England match at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in 1954. Spectator attendance in the stadium in Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25
The first Test match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 was played from 22 November to 25 November at Optus Stadium, Perth. A total of 96,463 spectators came to the field to watch this four-day test match. After this, the second test match was played at Adelaide Oval between 6 December and 8 December. 1,35,012 spectators were present in the stadium to watch the second Test match played over three days. The third Test match between India and Australia was played between 14 December and 18 December at the Gabba Cricket Ground in Brisbane. In which the rain had spoiled the fun of the players as well as the spectators. 87,689 spectators were present at the ground to watch the Gabba Test.
