In this colorful cultural program, folk genres like traditional veena bhajans of Rajasthan, Kabir’s verses, Vaniyas of Gorakh, Mirabai, Dungarpuri etc. and amazing veena playing will be showcased. The objective of the program is to promote Marwari folk culture in a metropolis like Mumbai and to convey the rich heritage of Rajasthan to the audience.

A group of 50 artists and 25 women artisans left
A special group of 50 Veena Bhajan artists and 25 women artisan sisters have left from Barmer to participate in the “Rumayna Rangotsav” program. This group includes children as young as 8 years old and experienced artists. This team left from Rumadevi Craft Center located in Barmer.

SP Meena said that “Rumayna Rangotsav” is not just a cultural program but a powerful platform for promoting the folk traditions, music, and art of Rajasthan. This initiative is also an inspiration towards women empowerment and art conservation. Deepsingh Bhati called it a moment of pride for Barmer and Marwari culture. He said that this effort will brighten the name of Barmer region at the national and international level.

Rumadevi Foundation spokesperson Anita and Kavita said – One of the main attractions of the “Rumayana Rangotsav” program is the handicraft display by the artisan women of Barmer. Women artisans will present their handmade products in Mumbai. Due to which not only his art will get recognition. Rather, this is also an important initiative towards economically empowering women. Also during this programme, Kabir Pad, Meerabai Bhajan and Veena playing will be performed. In the program, there will be a lively display of Rajasthani folk tradition due to the local costumes of Veena Bhajan artists and artisan women.
The main program will be held at Mukti Auditorium in Mumbai, while there will be a special presentation of morning songs on Juhu beach.
