The ICC released a fresh ranking on Wednesday, Azmatullah, leaving behind the Mohammad Nabi of his own country, occupied the top. The prophet slipped at number two.
In the latest ODI all -rounder rankings of ICC, Azmatullah Omarzai jumped 2 places and secured the top position. He has 296 rating points. The first top was Mohammad Nabi of Afghanistan, who has now come at number 2 with 292 rating points.

Azmatullah Omarzai performs in Champions Trophy
Azmatullah played all three matches in the Champions Trophy 2025. In the second match, he created history against England. He became the first bowler to take 40 Plus Score (41) and 5 wickets in a match of Champions Trophy. After this, he also played a brilliant innings of 67 runs against Australia. He took 1 wicket in this match. Azmatullah took a total of 7 wickets in 3 matches of the Champions Trophy and scored 126 runs.
In the Champions Trophy, Afghanistan made a big upset, defeating England in their second match. After this, he had a chance to reach the Champions Trophy semi -finals, winning the third match from Australia. But the third match had to be canceled due to rain and Afghanistan was out of the tournament.
