Asaduddin Owaisi on Pakistan: All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslim Min (AIMIM) chief and MP from Hyderabad Asaduddin Owaisi has called Pakistan the center of terrorism in a strict and innocent statement. He said during a meeting of the all-party delegation in Algeria that terrorist organizations such as ISIS and al-Qaeda in Pakistan are not only in organizations but also in ideology. According to him, this ideology is against the basic teachings of Islam.
AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi said that Islam does not allow the murder of any innocent person. It is unfortunate that the terrorists have tried to make it look like religious acceptance.

Terrorism is a global problem: Owaisi
Owaisi did not consider terrorism limited to South Asia only, but described it as a global problem. Giving an example, he said that Zakiur Rahman Lakhvi, who is the mastermind of 26/11 Mumbai attacks, is still present in Pakistan and is getting facilities there. No responsible country of the world will tolerate such terrorist, but Pakistan made him a father by sitting in jail.
Demand to put Pakistan in the gray list of FATF
Owaisi demanded that Pakistan again be put in the gray list of FATF (Financial Action Task Force), saying that terrorism flourishes not only with ideology, but also with money and support. He gave examples that when Pakistan was on gray list in 2018, there was a decrease in terrorist incidents in India.

What is FATF and what is the effect of gray list?
FATF is an international body that monitors money laundering and financing of terrorism. The inclusion of FATF in the gray list of a country reduces its credibility in the global financial system of a country. Pakistan has a strict financial loss of FATF, which makes it difficult for terror organizations to find funding.
How is India-Algeria relationship?
Owaisi appreciated the defense agreement signed between India and Algeria in November 2024. He described it as a sign of security cooperation and strategic partnership between the two countries. He said that I hope that our Prime Minister will soon go to Algeria and the President will come to India. This will be a very good step in the right direction.
Learning from Algeria’s experience
Owaisi, citing Algeria’s ‘Black Decade’ (1990 decade when terrorism was at its peak), said that India and Algeria share the same experiences. He said that the two countries together can form a joint strategy against terrorism.
