Akash Deep On Travis Head: In the Border-Gavaskar Trophy being played between India and Australia, only the name of Australian batsman Travis Head is being heard. Three Tests of the series have been played, in which Head is the highest run-scorer. Now, before the fourth Boxing Day Test of the series, Team India’s fast bowler Akashdeep roared and said that he will not allow Travis Head to be set at the crease.
Before the Boxing Day Test, Akashdeep was asked by the reporter about his plan, to which he replied, “Whatever plan we have, we cannot tell, they will also be ready. As a fast bowler, we will stick to the same balls and We will maintain discipline in our bowling. We will bowl from both overs and around the wicket, assess the pitch and conditions and plan accordingly.”
Further talking about Travis Head, Akashdeep said, “I think Travis Head especially struggles against the short ball. We will not let him get set on the crease. We will target a particular area and expect him to make mistakes. Will do, which will create chances for us.
Talking about the difficulties of bowling in Australia, Akashdeep said, “It is a bit difficult. I have played most of my cricket in India. We can bowl short lengths there, but here it is a bit challenging. “
Akashdeep further said, “Sometimes you feel that you are bowling very well. Whatever the wicket or condition, it is very important to remain disciplined as a fast bowler.”
It is noteworthy that till now Akashdeep has played only one match in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. He played his only match in Gabba. Akash had taken 3 wickets in the Gabba Test.
