
Three Indian citizens working in a cement factory in Mali have been abducted by al-Qaeda militants. According to a report, officials have confirmed this on Thursday. There have been a series of terrorist attacks in many parts of the West African country of Mali. Meanwhile, Indian citizens were kidnapped. Expressing concern about this, India has asked the Mali government to ensure release.
After the kidnapping of Indians, India asked the Mali government to take all the necessary steps to ensure their safe and early release. The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) expressed deep concern about the abduction of Indians working in the Diamond Cement Factory in Kayes. The Ministry of External Affairs said, “The incident took place on July 1, when a group of attackers attacked the factory premises and forcibly took three Indian citizens hostage.”
Who took the responsibility of attack in the gardener
Al-Qaeda-linked Jamaat Nusrat al-Islam Val-Muslimin (JNIM) took responsibility for the attacks on Tuesday, but no one has reacted to the kidnapping. India is constantly in contact with the Mali government regarding this.
Terrorist attack has taken place many times in Mali so far
There have been terrorist attacks in Mali many times in the last few years. Prior to this July 1, there was an attack at many places in Bamako on 17 September last year before the terrorist attack. According to the news of AFP News Agency, 77 people lost their lives in this attack. At the same time, more than 200 people were injured. Earlier on 7 September 2023, a boat was attacked in the Niger River near Timbaktu. According to the report of the US Department of State, 74 people were killed in this attack. It consisted of 49 citizens, while there were 20 attackers and people from the boat security team.
