What does a new study say?
When a person’s BMI (body mass index) is 40 or more or even after being above 35, obesity related diseases, it is called ‘serious obesity’ or ‘class 3 level obesity’. It is considered very dangerous for health.
Obesity can affect many parts of your body. Many diseases can cause. However, in earlier studies, every disease was seen separately, which made it difficult to understand the total effect of obesity.
Scientists at Johns Hopkins University (US) analyzed data from more than 2.7 lakh people of America. He found that as the obesity of the people increased, the cases of all 16 diseases also increased.
In the first obesity category, there were 21.2 percent people, 11.3 percent in the second category and 9.8 percent in the third category. Obesity was found to be related to every disease and with the increase in the category of obesity, the risk of diseases also increased.
