After this, the Champions Trophy won. The last nine months are the best example of how life is. There will always be ups and downs in it. ”
Rohit said that the journey of success and change in mindset started from 2022 when the team lost the T20 World Cup semi -finals in Australia. He said, “Since then we have told the players clearly what is expected from them and how we want to see them playing. This was followed by clarity. The players were talked about a lot. They needed to be given freedom so that they could play fearlessly. We lost some series but do not panic and maintain the process. ”
Regarding the last place of Mumbai Indians in the IPL last year, Rohit said that every player should have determination to return. He said that he was focusing on ending his T20 career, which he did after the T20 World Cup win.
He said, “At this time you need to show a little patience and determination to return from below. This (2024 IPL) was the worst phase for the team and I think we did not even play our best cricket. But there was a lot after the IPL. ”
