Waqf amendment bill passed in Parliament
The Waqf Amendment Bill 2025 has passed in Parliament. After discussing more than 17 hours, the bill passed in both houses. First of all, this bill was introduced in the Lok Sabha, on which the leaders of all the parties kept their own talk and the Waqf Amendment Bill was approved by the Lok Sabha at around 2.30 pm. In the Lok Sabha, 288 votes were cast in favor of the bill and 232 in protest. The next day the bill was introduced in Rajya Sabha. Here too, after a long and meaningful discussion, the bill was passed around 2.50 pm. In the Rajya Sabha, 128 votes were cast in favor of the bill and 95 in protest. Now after the President’s approval, the bill will be made law.
