Bihar elections are in the coming time and it was decided from here that the Congress could use the weapon of the ethnic census again. At present, the Bharatiya Janata Party -led central government has played such a game that the weapons of the opposition will be blunt. Or simply say that the BJP government has taken away a large weapon from the hands of parties like SP who emphasized the Congress and the caste census in one stroke.
Under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, the Union Cabinet meeting was held on the previous day, in which it was also decided to include caste -wise calculations in the upcoming census. However, according to Article 246 of the Indian Constitution, the Census Association would have been the subject of the Union List of the 7th Schedule. Despite this, apart from the Center, some states conducted survey for caste -wise calculation at their level. These are the facts that caste has been excluded in all census since the independence of the country. However, in 2010, the then Prime Minister (late) Manmohan Singh assured the Lok Sabha that the issue of caste census would be considered in the cabinet. Work was done at that time, but instead of caste census, the option of socio-economic and caste census survey (SECC) was chosen. This time the BJP has included the caste -wise calculation.
BJP snatched away the weapons of Congress and SP
There are assembly elections in Bihar, in such a situation, it was decided that Rahul Gandhi and the Congress party would give strong air to the issue of caste census. At present, it is certain that the BJP will try its best to call itself in favor of social justice in the state with the help of the Center’s caste calculation. The elections in Uttar Pradesh are still late, but Samajwadi Party and Akhilesh Yadav have been continuously raising the subject of ethnic census in the state. For example, BJP’s weapon has also been taken away by Akhilesh’s hand.
BJP will also be able to help OBC class
The Congress has understood that the OBC class has been sparked from it. From the public forums itself, Rahul Gandhi admitted that the party paid attention to the upper castes, Dalits and Muslims and the OBC class got away from them. In the recent politics scenario, it was seen that in states like Karnataka and Telangana, the Congress voiced itself on OBC issues. Well, the ruling BJP at the center has destroyed the entire plan of opponents and somewhere the BJP will also try to help the OBC class.
