At the same time, the position of the junta seems to be weakening due to this.
Thousands of people fled from Myanmar to Bangladesh and India in 2017
In 2017, the Myanmar Army took brutal action against Rohingya villages. After which thousands of people crossed the border and fled to the neighboring country Bangladesh and many people also reached India. Foreign and security policy analyst Sripati Narayanan said, “The Rohingya rebel group Arakan Army is also attacking, so the problem of refugees in neighboring countries may increase.”
The challenge before India has increased
In the north-eastern states of India, especially Manipur, the problems have become complicated due to the arrival of Christian and Buddhist refugees from Myanmar in the last 20 months. India also fears that due to the rebel groups in Myanmar, modern weapons may reach the rebel groups operating in the north-eastern state. At the same time, Myanmar’s rebel group is emphasizing on drug trafficking to raise money, which is another problem for India. In view of this, India has also tightened the rules of movement on the Myanmar border.
India is trying to solve the problem
India is holding talks with both the rebel groups and the military government of Myanmar to resolve the problem arising in the neighboring country. For this, the Government of India has started its diplomatic channel.
