Awadhesh Prasad: Samajwadi Party is angry with the new seating arrangement in the Lok Sabha. Akhilesh Yadav is the only leader left sitting in the front row. In such a situation, the party is opposing it. Especially Awadhesh Prasad, MP from Ayodhya and considered close to Akhilesh Yadav, is restless. That is also because according to the new seating arrangement, Awadhesh is also not getting a chance to sit near Akhilesh Yadav and in the first row.
SP MP Awadhesh Prasad says, ‘Initially I used to sit in the front row in the Lok Sabha with Rahul Gandhi and Akhilesh Yadav. In the new seating arrangement, only Akhilesh Yadav from SP has been given a seat in the front row, which he has strongly opposed. We have also spoken to the Lok Sabha Speaker. To be honest, I don’t have anything like that in my mind. But Akhilesh Yadav respects me. Even in the assembly, he used to make me sit next to him.
Changed seat arrangement during winter session
A new seating arrangement has been made during the winter session of Parliament. An internal circular on seating arrangements was issued by the Lok Sabha Secretariat on November 29. It is said that on the basis of inputs received from the parties, the office of Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla has decided the seats or division numbers of the MPs. However, the new seating arrangement in the Lok Sabha has created dissatisfaction among the members.
Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav will sit next to Bandopadhyay in the front row, but his party’s Faizabad MP Avadhesh Prasad has got a seat in the second row. TMC MPs will sit in the middle of the House, further away from their previous seats in the 17th Lok Sabha. Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi occupies a prominent seat in the 8th Block, facing the Prime Minister and senior ministers on the ruling party benches. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and Home Minister Amit Shah have been allotted the first three seats on the benches of the ruling party.
