Jasprit Bumrah may miss the group stage matches of the 2025 Champions Trophy. This star fast bowler suffered a back injury during the 5th Test against Australia, due to which he had to leave the field mid-game for a scan. Although there was suspense regarding the seriousness of Bumrah’s injury, but the news that has come now is going to disappoint the Indian cricket fans.
According to a report in Indian Express, Jasprit Bumrah is expected to be fit in the first week of March. This means that Bumrah will remain away from the cricket field till the first week of March and will not be able to play league stage matches in the 2025 Champions Trophy.
The report quoted the source as saying, “He (Jasprit Bumrah) will go to NCA. The initial report says that he does not have a fracture, but there is swelling on his back. So NCA will keep an eye on his recovery and he will stay there for three weeks.” Even after this he will have to play one or two matches, even if they are practice matches to test his match fitness.”
