Bangladesh army chief: There is a buzz of rebellion in Bangladesh, but this fragrance is coming from inside the Bangladeshi army, not from politics and it can take the form of rebellion at any time. On whose target there is no general officer, the head of the Bangladeshi Army, General Waqar Ujman.
In fact, the rift between Bangladesh military chief and a top general of the army has deepened and the rift between them has given Pakistan an opportunity to establish and interfere. Pakistan used to be the biggest enemy of Bangladesh at one time, but the interim government of Bangladesh opened Pakistan and hugged Pakistan. Apart from this, Pakistan has got entry in Dhaka due to the radical group of Bangladesh and a group of army. In such a situation, now concerns have increased about the future of the army in Bangladesh.
Army chief knocking in the eyes of fundamentalists
The reason behind this situation in the Bangladeshi army is the conflict of two different ideologies. In June of 2024, General Waqar-e-Zaman, who took command as a military chief in June 2024, is seen as a medium and balance of general with a soft sentiment towards India. At the same time, Lieutenant General Faizur Rahman, who provoked the spark of rebellion against military chief General Zaman, is a quarter master general (QMG) in the Army, who is seen as a supporter of Pakistan and fundamentalist Jamaat-e-Islami.
Pakistan’s ISI Re-entry in Bangladesh
After the separation of Pakistan-Bangladesh in 1971, the ISI’s influence from the region was removed, but recently Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI has been re-entryed in Bangladesh. Earlier this year, General Faizur Rahman met with the Chief of ISI, after which the tension inside the army has increased. During this meeting, there was a discussion about the establishment of the network sharing intelligence information, which was seen as a direct challenge for the authority of the army chief.
ISI Entry to worry in India
At the same time, India’s concerns have increased due to the re -entry of Pakistan’s infamous intelligence agency ISI in Bangladesh. Because the Pakistani ISI is trying to revive insurgency in the northeastern states of India in Bangladesh.
