Bangladesh Violence: Bangladesh court has rejected the bail plea of ISKCON Hindu priest Chinmay Krishna Das, on which Vishwa Hindu Parishad spokesperson Vinod Bansal has given a strong reaction. Bansal said that now it is not just a matter of saving Chinmay Krishna Das but it is a matter of saving Bangladesh. He believes that Chinmoy Das has been implicated in false charges and his release is very important.
Vinod Bansal alleged that Muslim lawyers in Bangladesh raised fundamentalist slogans in the court and put pressure on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. He said that the judges were also threatened to reject the bail plea of Chinmoy Krishna Das. Bansal warned that Bangladesh is moving towards destruction under the influence of Jihadis. He said that now there is a need to save Bangladesh because this country has moved towards destruction and is becoming a safe place for Jihadi forces.
Hindu temples were attacked on the occasion of New Year
Vinod Bansal also told that on the occasion of New Year, Hindu temples were attacked in Bangladesh and two devotees of ISKCON were beaten. Bansal called it a symbol of increasing religious violence in Bangladesh and said that the Indian government should take more concrete steps on this issue. He said that the world community should also be aware of this situation.
Reaction to Mamta Banerjee’s statement
Vinod Bansal reacted to West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s statement about Bangladeshi infiltrators entering the Indian border. He said that the Chief Minister of a state should not make a statement on this sensitive issue. Bansal said that if Mamata Banerjee has any concrete evidence then she should inform the Home Ministry and not make such statements.
