Sheikh Hasina blames Muhammad Yunus: Bangladesh’s deposed Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has again attacked Mohammad Yunus, who is leading the interim government in the country. Sheikh Hasina, while digitally addressing a gathering of foreign supporters of her party “Awami League” in London on Sunday (December 8), slammed Mohammad Yunus. He also called Yunus the main conspirator of the violence that took place in Bangladesh in the months of July and August. Sheikh Hasina accused Yunus of running a “fascist administration” that allows terrorists and radicals to operate without hindrance. Hasina said that it was because of Yunus that she was ousted from power in Bangladesh.
Mohammad Yunus attacked fiercely
Deposed PM Sheikh Hasina fiercely attacked the interim government in her address during the program. He pledged to bring Mohammad Yunus and his associates to justice. He also criticized attacks on temples and monasteries of Hindus, Christians and Buddhists among religious minorities in Bangladesh. He said, ‘Jamaat and terrorists have got a free hand under the new regime of Bangladesh.’

The audio recording of Sheikh Hasina’s 37-minute long address was shared on the Facebook pages of Bangladesh Students League and Bangladesh Awami League. Hasina’s address came before the visit of Indian Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri to Dhaka on Monday (9 December). The Foreign Secretary, during his visit to Bangladesh, expressed India’s concerns over the security of minorities in the country. He mentioned the regrettable incidents of attacks on religious, cultural and diplomatic properties in Bangladesh. He said, ‘In the last few weeks, incidents of violence against Hindus and other minorities have increased in Bangladesh, about which India has expressed concern.’
