Elections in Bangladesh: Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General Professor Mia Ghulam Parwar reiterated his party’s demand to hold an independent and fair regional government election before the interim government led by Mohammad Yunus. Professor Mia Ghulam raised his party’s demand while addressing the Jamaat worker conference held in Rajbari on Friday (February 28) as the chief guest.
Addressing the activist conference, Professor Mia Ghulam said, “If the government of Bangladesh really fair and honest, the Election Commission can hold such elections.” He requested the authorities to improve the election date by improving a fixed deadline electoral system. Apart from this, for this during the election, there should be any kind of bloodshed and violence, for this, they should be sued for crime against humanity in the International Crime Tribunal, including Sheikh Hasina before the general election in the country.
Bangladesh was in the dark era for the last 16-17 years
Professor Ghulam, while emphasizing this, said that justice, reform and regional elections should be completed before the national elections in the country. He said that for the last 16-17 years, Bangladesh has gone through an era of darkness, where people did not have the right to vote and where democracy had no existence.
He further said, “There is a conspiracy going on from Bangladesh to eradicate Islamic values ​​and the identity of the country.” Professor Mia Ghulam accused the judiciary of being inspired by politics and being corrupted and said that the country also had to see loot, extortion, murders and terrorism. At the same time, innocent Islamic scholars, bearded men and religious people were also arrested and put in jails.
Jamaat-e-Islami leader remembered former leaders
He then recalled former leaders Motiur Rahman Nizami, recalling Ali Ahsan Mujahid, Kamrujman, Abdul Kadar Molla and Mir Qasim Ali and said that he was killed for politics. Apart from this, many other prominent leaders were jailed under false allegations and they were released to die there.
