Dr. Mohammad Yunus’s government, which came after the student movement in power in Bangladesh’s power, continues to be an anti -India attitude. Even after meeting PM Modi at the Bimstec Summit, the Yunus government has handed over important projects to China and Pakistan in strategic places.
Bangladesh has given the responsibility of expanding Mongla Port to China. This port is just 200 km from Kolkata, India. The deal was approved during Younus’s recent Beijing visit. China has promised to give $ 400 million (about Rs 3,300 crore) for modernization of this port.
Airbase remained with Pakistan near Siliguri The government of Bangladesh is building a military airbase in Lalmanirhat district, which is only 120 km from India’s ‘Chicken Nek’ i.e. Siliguri Corridor. The special thing is that Bangladeshi pilots are being sent to Pakistan for this airbase so that they can learn to fly Pakistani JF-17 fighter jets. On March 27, five officers were also sent for training.

India’s ‘Chicken Neck’ is only 120 km from the Siliguri Corridor.
The presence of both China and Pakistan threatens India China has already given a submarine to Bangladesh and is now strengthening its presence in the Bay of Bengal. At the same time, these military activities of Bangladesh together with Pakistan are increasing India’s concern.
The opposition coalition started the ‘India Out’ campaign even before Sheikh Hasina’s government fell in Bangladesh. Now Yunus’s party NCP is openly talking anti -India. Calling the High Commissioner of Pakistan on the party’s foundation day is also considered part of this agenda.
North-East was described as land lock in visit to China Yunus called the northeastern states of India ‘land lock’ (surrounded by land) and said that Bangladesh is the only way for them to reach the sea. The leaders of Northeast India reacted sharply to this statement and some even said that Bangladesh should be broken.

Yunus said that Bangladesh is the only guardian (mentor) of the entire region.
Experts said – hostility with India to Bangladesh
Dr. Faridul Alam, Professor of International Affairs at Chitgaon University, said that in today’s era, no major neighboring country cannot benefit by keeping enmity. The Yunus government should maintain peace with India, otherwise it will suffer it.
