
IPL 2025: Opener Quinton Dickock, who won the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by playing an unbeaten 97 in the Indian Premier League match against Rajasthan Royals, said it was beneficial for him to bat in the second innings of the match.
Dickock scored an unbeaten 97 off 61 balls with the help of eight fours and six sixes, KKR beyond the target of 152 runs to win in 17.3 overs. Player of the Match Dickock said at the award ceremony, “This is my second match, it was good for us that we batted later. As a wicketkeeper, I got a chance to take a wicket and I could reconcile according to him while batting. ,
He said, “I know that IPL is known for a big score, but I just tried to win the match for us.” This former South African captain said, “It was not a suitable wicket for big score, the ball was taking turn and coming stopping. This was not a flat wicket, there was a struggle to score runs here. ”
KKR captain Ajinkya Rahane credited the victory with Dickock to the team spinners. He said, “We bowled two spinners in the middle overs. Moin Ali played in place of Sunil Narayan and he did well. ”
