
Sanju samson fined 24 laakhs: Rajasthan Royals team captain Sanju Samson has been fined Rs 24 lakh. The case is related to the Gujarat Titans vs Rajasthan Royals match, in which the RR team was found guilty of slow-over rate. This is the second time that the penalty has been imposed on captain Samson due to a slow-over rate. Let us tell you that according to the new rules of IPL 2025, a fine of Rs 12 lakh is imposed for the first time if found guilty of slow-over rate.
The entire team damaged with Samson
This time not only Sanju Samson but the entire team of Rajasthan Royals has suffered losses. The BCCI issued a statement saying, “In the match number-23 of IPL 2025, Rajasthan Royals team captain Sanju Samson and his team have been fined for being found guilty of slow-over rate.”
In this statement, it was further told that under Article 2.2 of the IPL rules, Sanju Samson has been fined Rs 24 lakh. At the same time, other members of the playing XI and impact player will also have to pay 6 lakh rupees or 25 percent of the match fee.
Gujarat has become a table topper
Gujarat Titans scored 217 runs in the first play, in which Sai Sudarshan’s brilliant innings of 82 runs contributed to a major contribution.
