IPL 2025 Resume Date: The decision can be taken on tomorrow i.e. May 11, when the IPL 2025 resumes. This update has come after consent on ceasefire between India and Pakistan. Firing has been stopped from both India and Pakistan from 5 pm on Saturday evening. Soon after, a media report claimed that the IPL 2025 tournament could be resumed next week. Let us know that in the tournament, 13 matches (including Punjab-Delhi matches) are yet to be played in the tournament.
The Punjab Kings vs Delhi Capitals match was being played on 8 May in IPL 2025. In the match, only 10.1 overs were played, then the match was stopped by citing technical fault and the ground was also evacuated after some time. Later, IPL chairman Arun Singh Dhumal revealed that technical fault was resorted to to avoid a stampede incident in the field.
Meanwhile, according to ESPN Cricinfo, three grounds can be selected for the remaining matches of IPL 2025. These 3 grounds can be M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore, Chepulak in Chennai and Rajeev Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. It is also updated that BCCI officials can meet soon to fix the date of resumption of IPL 2025.
Was suspended for a week
On 9 May, BCCI issued a statement stating that IPL 2025 has been suspended for a week. The first match could be played between Delhi Capitals and Punjab Kings, which could not be concluded on 8 May for security reasons after the tournament resumed.
