ICC Board Meeting: For the last few days, such an atmosphere has been created regarding the 2025 Champions Trophy that the fans seem confused. No one is able to understand what is happening.
Actually, there is tension between India and Pakistan (IND v PAK) regarding the Champions Trophy, because India has clearly refused to come to Pakistan. In such a situation, Pakistan is being asked to adopt the hybrid model, but it is putting absurd conditions. Seeing time running out, ICC has come forward to resolve the issue, but the problem is not being resolved.
The ICC meeting to be held in Dubai has been postponed once again. According to the information, due to the deadlock between the two countries, the ICC Board meeting has been postponed again. The new date of the meeting has also been revealed. It is being said that now the ICC meeting can be held on Saturday, 7th December.
Let us tell you that this meeting of ICC was to be held under the chairmanship of Jai Shah. Former Secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Jay Shah officially took over as ICC Chairman on December 1, after which he called an emergency meeting of the ICC Board today i.e. on December 5. But it had to be postponed.
BCCI slapped Pakistan on face
According to the information, the deadlock still continues between India and Pakistan on the Champions Trophy issue. The issue seemed to be resolved by the proposal of Hybrid Model, but Pakistan made absurd demands. Actually, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had told ICC that it will adopt the hybrid model only when this model is applicable for the tournaments to be held in India, but BCCI has rejected this demand of PCB. BCCI said in a statement that there is no security threat in India, hence the hybrid model does not make any sense here.
After taking charge as ICC chief, Jay Shah also reached the ICC Headquarters in Dubai for the first time on Thursday, December 5, where he met the ICC Board of Directors and staff.
According to media reports, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi had gone to Dubai for a meeting, but the deadlock could not be ended, due to which no decision could be taken, especially on the schedule of the tournament.
