
Bolivia bus crash: On Saturday (March 1) in the southern part of Bolivia, 37 people died in a terrible road accident, including two children, and more than 30 people were injured. The accident occurred when two passenger buses collided face to face. The accident occurred early on a highway between Uuni and Kolchani, when a bus went into the wrong lane, making it one of the most deadly accidents of recent years.
A spokesman for the Potosi departmental police command told reporters, “39 people have been injured in this deadly accident and they are undergoing treatment in four hospitals in Uuni city, while 37 people have died.” A bus involved in this accident was going to the city of Ouro, where this Vikanj Ouro Carnival was being organized. This festival is one of the largest festivals in Latin America and thousands of people participate in it.
Police and rescue operations
The bus was overturned through a crane at the accident, which was overturned on the road. Police officers were seen taking out the bodies from the wreck of the bus and covering them with a blanket. Officials say they are working to identify the victims and help the injured.
