It often targets security forces, citizens and organizations which are considered to be cooperative with the Pakistani state. The Pakistani Taliban may be a separate organization but despite this, it has very good relations with the Afghan Taliban and the Taliban took power in Afghanistan after the return of the US and NATO in 2021.
Tension remains on Pakistan-Afghanistan border
The explosion occurred just a day after the announcement of killing 54 terrorists during an campaign by Pakistan’s army in North Waziristan district. According to news agency AP, those terrorists tried to enter Pakistan from Afghanistan. With this, there has been an atmosphere of instability on the Pakistan-Afghanistan border for a long time.
The re -emergence of the Pakistani Taliban has been a major concern for Islamabad, especially when many of its leaders and fighters have found safe shelters in Afghanistan after the Taliban occupation.

Amidst all this, the security situation in Pakistan remains a matter of concern for the government and the army. The situation is tense in many areas.
