The stock market declines today on the second trading day of the week i.e. on Tuesday, May 6. The Sensex is trading at the level of 80,750, falling nearly 50 points. The Nifty falls by 10 points, trading at the level of 24,450.
23 out of 30 shares of Sensex decline. Sunpharma, Tata Motors, SBI, HDFC Bank, TCS and Infosys have a decline of up to 1%. At the same time, Mahindra, Airtel and Bajaj Finserv are up to 3%.
The Nifty has a decline in 25 of the 50 shares. NSE sectoral indices have a decline of up to 1.5% in pharma, metal, media, banking and realty. At the same time, the auto sector has a rise of 1%.
IPO: Ether Energy shares listing today
The stock of Indian company Ather Energy, which produces electric two-wheelers, is listed in BSE-NSE today i.e. on 6 May. The company’s IPO was opened from 28 April. The issue price of this IPO was ₹ 304- ₹ 321 per share. The company wants to raise ₹ 8,750 crore by selling 8.18 crore shares through this public issue. Read full news
Mixed business in global market today
- Today there is no business in Asian markets, Japan’s Nikkei is closed. On May 2, it climbed 378 points (1.04%) to close at 36,830. Korea, Korea also rose by 3 points (0.12%), closed at 2,560.
- Today, on May 6, Hong Kong’s Hangseng index is trading at 22,623 to climb 118 points (0.52%). At the same time, China’s Shanghai Composite has a gain of 28 points (0.86%), it is at 3,307.
- On May 5, the US Dow Jones fell 100 points (0.24%) to close at 41,219. The Nasdaq Composite declined by 134 points (0.74%), while the S&P 500 index closed climbing 36 points (0.64%).
- Foreign investors (FIIs) are going on in the Indian market. Tomorrow i.e. May 5, foreign investors bought shares worth Rs 497.79 crore. At the same time, domestic investors bought shares worth Rs 2,788.66 crore during this period.
- Net purchases of foreign investors in April stood at Rs 2,735.02 crore. Domestic investors also purchased a net of Rs 28,228.45 crore in a month.
Yesterday the market was gaining 300 points
The stock market increased on the first trading day of the week i.e. Monday, May 5. The Sensex closed at 80,797 levels up 295 points. The Nifty also rose by 114 points, it closed at 24,461 levels.
20 out of 30 shares of Sensex saw a rise. Adani Port’s stock climbed 6.31%, Bajaj Finserv 3.73%, Mahindra & Mahindra 3.11% and Zomato 2.45%. At the same time, Kotak Mahindra Bank shares have come down 4.59% and SBI’s 1.26%.
Out of 50 shares of Nifty, 38 rose. NSE sectoral indices rose by 1.85% in auto, 1.22% in FMCG, 0.96% in metal and 1.70% in oil and gas. Whereas, there was a slight decline in the banking sector.
