India According to the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG), the public BSNL did not recover 10 years from Jio as per his agreement on sharing infrastructure like tower. Due to which the government suffered a loss of Rs 1,757.56 crore. This recovery has not been done since May 2014.
The CAG said in a statement that BSNL suffered a loss of Rs 38.36 crore, as it failed to deduct the license fee from the revenue part to the telecom infrastructure (TIP).
29 crore rupees GST also loss The CAG has stated that BSNL M / s Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited (RJIL) failed to implement the Master Service Agreement and did not bill to use additional use of infrastructure such as BSNL’s shared towers.
Due to this, between May 2014 and March 2024, the government treasury suffered a loss of Rs 1,757.76 crore. The CAG also found that BSNL also made the BSNL reduced bills. This led to a loss of revenue of Rs 29 crore including GST.
46.51 crore users in Jio’s country According to the data released by TRAI, Jio has 46.51 crore users in the country. Airtel has 38.53 crores, Vodafone Idea 20.72 crore and BSNL has 9.17 crore users.
