The BTS ARMY, have ignited social media frenzy with speculation that Kim Taehyung, popularly known as V, might join the cast of ‘Squid Game’ Season 3.
The rumors began after reports stated that Hollywood star Leonardo DiCaprio would feature in a special role in the series. With fans buzzing about a ‘superstar’ joining the cast, ARMY couldn’t help but wonder if this buzz had something to do with V wearing a red jumpsuit similar to the uniform worn by guards in the hit Netflix series.
The speculation gained traction after fans shared screenshots of what appeared to be subtle hints that V could just feature in the series. One of them happened to be the singer’s ‘Like’ on a post. Additionally, some had pointed V’s earlier excitement about the show and its alignment with the filming timeline of Squid Game seasons 2 and 3, which were shot back-to-back.
While Season 3 is rumored to release on June 27, 2025, others note that V’s solo album is also expected around the same time, fueling theories that he might also be teasing his involvement with the series. One fan commented, “So, we might see V and Leonardo in the same frame? The world isn’t ready!”
Another quipped, “Something fishy is definitely going on, and I don’t know how to prepare for this!”
Still another said, “Did singer V tease actor Kim Taehyung? Squid Game 2 & 3 have been filmed, but split up into 2 parts. So was Tae teasing or just a coincidence? SG3 rumored to be released in June 2025, AND so is Tae. Manifesting for this to be true.”
As ARMY continues to manifest and theorise, the idea of V donning a villainous role in Squid Game has the internet in a frenzy, awaiting an official announcement.
If V’s participation turns out to be true, it would mark a significant crossover between K-pop and K-drama.
