The price of gold reached all time high on 19 March. According to the India Bullion and Jewelers Association (IBJA), the price of 10 grams 24 carat gold increased by ₹ 326 to ₹ 88,680. However, after this it came down slightly and closed at ₹ 88,649. Earlier on Tuesday, the price of gold was ₹ 88,354.

2. UPI incentive scheme increased for one year: The shopkeeper will get ₹ 3 at a transaction of 2 thousand rupees; Government will spend 1500 crores

The central government on Wednesday extended the incentive scheme for one year to promote the Unified Payment Interface (UPI). This scheme will continue till 31 March 2026 and it will cost around Rs 1,500 crore.
This decision was taken in the Union Cabinet. Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that in this scheme, small shopkeepers will get 0.15% incentives for transacting Person to Merchant (P2M) up to Rs 2,000 through RuPay Debit Card and BHIM-UPI.

3. Vodafone Idea shares climbed 8%: VI launched 5G services in Mumbai, Company Talking to Starlink for SATCOM Partnership

Telecom company Vodafone Idea Limited i.e. VI shares saw a rise of 8% on March 19 (Wednesday). The company’s stock rose by 8.59% to Day High to Rs 7.71. However, VI’s stock rose 5.07% to close at Rs 7.46 when trading was closed. This boom in the company’s shares came after the announcement of VI’s launch of 5G services in Mumbai.

5. Ola’s showrooms again raided: Maharashtra RTO officials sent notices to 10 stores; 65% dropped from all time high

Electric two wheeler maker Ola Electric Mobility showrooms have been raided again. On Tuesday, four RTO office officials raided more than 10 showrooms in Mumbai.
