BSF jawan martyred in Pakistan’s shelling
A BSF jawan was killed and seven others were injured in Pakistan’s firing on the international border in Jammu on Saturday. Officials said that the incident took place in RS Pura sector. A senior Border Security Force (BSF) official said that Sub -Inspector Mohammad Imtiaz went ahead and gave the highest sacrifice.
The official said that Imtiaz and seven other soldiers were injured in the shootout by Pakistan. Imtiaz died, while other soldiers have been admitted to the hospital. The Jammu Frontier of the force said in a post on the social media platform ‘X’, ‘We salute the highest sacrifice offered by BSF’s brave sub-inspector Mohammad Imtiaz on May 10, 2025, on the international border in the RS Pura region, the district Jammu, during the firing of the nation during the firing from across the border.’
It said that BSF Director General and all rank officials express their deep condolences to their family. India and Pakistan have agreed to the ceasefire. Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri announced that the Director General of Military Operations of the two countries had decided to stop all firing and military action on land, wind and sea from 5 pm on Saturday evening.
