Aspur Tehsildar Yogesh Vaishnav said that Child Line had received a complaint about the marriage of a minor in Tatiya village of Dovda police station area. After receiving the complaint, Kamlesh Jain and Archana from Child Line under the leadership of Aspur Tehsildar Yogesh Vaishnav, ASI Dayalal Patidar from Dovda police station, ICDS, Srishti Seva Sansthan team reached Tatia village.
Preparations for the marriage of his daughter were going on at the house of Narayan Patidar in Tatiya village. The girl’s marriage was to take place on 12 December. After this the team checked the documents regarding the age of the girl. After document verification, the girl’s age was found to be 16 years, 2 months and 9 days. Since the girl was a minor, the team stopped the marriage of the minor. The girl and her father along with other family members have been restricted to get married only after the girl attains majority.
