AUS v IND: The Indian cricket team led by Rohit Sharma is busy preparing for the Boxing Day Test of the Border Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) against Australia.
The fourth Test match of BGT will be played between India and host Australia from December 26 in Melbourne. This match is a do or die match for both the teams, because currently this series is tied at 1-1 and the team which wins this match will take a lead of 2-1 and all the pressure will be on the other team. Everyone’s eyes are on Team India, because they have not lost the Border Gavaskar series in Australia for the last few years.
The Indian team may face a big challenge in Melbourne from the Australian team, especially Travis Head, who has been the biggest headache for India in the last three matches. Head has put India in trouble in every match of the series so far, but Team India will now have to control Head, for which the team is making a strategy. Indian young bowler Akashdeep also mentioned the plan against Travis Head during the press conference on Sunday, December 22. Meanwhile, former Indian batting coach Sanjay Bangar has told the Indian bowlers to have a great plan to deal with the head.
Sanjay Bangar, during a conversation with Star Sports, the broadcaster of Border Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) in India, has given not one but many plans to the Indian bowlers.
Sanjay Bangar told this plan
Sanjay Bangar said-
I feel that at the beginning of the innings one should go round the wicket and bowl the ball in the corridor. If you succeed in this in 15-20 balls then you should stick to this plan. The plan is that you come, come round the wicket, play on the fourth stump, play on the off stump, if you do not get success in that then immediately take an extra fielder over the wicket and on the on side and take deep third man.
‘Line and length should be tight’
Former Indian batting coach Sanjay Bangar said-
You have to bowl the line of middle stump, you have to bowl consistently, so that he does something different and you also have to bowl short balls in between. If you do all these things, you will force them. One is that he will not get easy runs from this, if he does not get easy runs then he will try to do something different and his bat will continue to work against the short ball.
Also gave advice regarding fielding
Sanjay Bangar has also given advice to the Indian team regarding fielding. He said-
If there is a deep third man, there are chances of a catch. Deep square leg and deep fine leg. Three fielders were in catching position. You stopped the runs. The Indian team will have to stick to this plan for a long time. You lay a trap there. With a little patience, Travis Head’s headache can definitely be reduced.
Let us tell you that the last two matches of the Border Gavaskar Trophy against Australia are very important for India from the point of view of the final of the World Test Championship (WTC).
