In Chittorgarh, a constable shot a woman constable and also shot himself. This incident happened at 6:30 pm on Monday evening in a rented house just 100 meters away from Begun police station. The constable is the gunman of DSP Anjali Singh.

Both the constables are on probation and live on rent in different rooms in the same house. After roll call, Siyaram was sitting in his room with a service pistol. As soon as Poonam reached his room, Siyaram shot her in the chest and then shot himself.

Hearing the sound of gunshot, policemen and neighbors reached the spot. Both were taken to Begun Sub District Hospital in critical condition. From there both have been referred to Chittorgarh. Both were admitted to the ICU in the district hospital.
On receiving information about the incident, top officials including Collector Alok Ranjan and SP Sudhir Chaudhary reached the hospital. All the gates of the hospital have been closed. Since the condition of both the constables is critical, they have been referred to Udaipur.
The bullet passed through the chest of the female constable Dr. Vaibhav Surana of Begun Hospital said that the bullet of the woman constable passed through the chest on the left side. While constable Siyaram shot himself on the jaw near the neck.
Eyewitness female constable fainted It was told that female constable Divya Singh, who witnessed the incident, fainted. He was taken to Begun Hospital. It was told that Divya also lives on rent in the same house. When Divya saw Siyaram and Poonam bleeding from bullet injuries, she fainted. Police have been deployed at the house where the incident took place. Constable Siyaram is a resident of Kota and woman constable Poonam is said to be from Dausa district.
