Delhi Elections: Congress has released the first list of 21 candidates for the upcoming assembly elections in Delhi. The name of MLA Abdul Rehman, who resigned from the party after accusing Aam Aadmi Party of indifference towards the issues of Muslims, is also included in this list. Abdul Rahman has recently left AAP and joined Congress and the party has given him MLA ticket from the current Seelampur seat.
The names of Sandeep Dixit, Abdul Rehman, Ragini Nayak, Haroon Yusuf and Anil Choudhary are included in the list of 21 candidates released by Congress for the assembly elections.

Seelampur MLA Abdul Rehman had resigned from the party accusing Aam Aadmi Party and Arvind Kejriwal of ignoring Muslims. Abdul Rehman has written in the letter to Arvind Kejriwal, “I, Abdul Rehman, MLA, Seelampur Assembly, today with a heavy heart, I am taking the decision to resign from the membership of Aam Aadmi Party and from the party. This decision was not easy for me, But after seeing the way Muslims and other deprived communities have been neglected in the party’s leadership and policies, it became my moral duty.”
