Delhi HC Judgement on Celebi’s Security Clearance Order: The Delhi High Court is going to deliver its verdict on Monday (July 7) in the case of Turki’s ground handling and cancellation of security approval of Cargo Operations Company Celibi Aviation Holding. This information has been given in a report by news agency ANI.
Celebi has challenged the central government’s decision, in which the security approval of the company was canceled citing security reasons. This decision was taken after the Pahalgam terror attack, when the Turkias supported Pakistan.
What did the Celebi Company argue?
In the hearing held on May 21 in the Delhi High Court, the Celebi Company argued that this decision of the Government of India is against the principles of natural justice. Senior advocate Mukul Rohatgi, appearing for the company, said that the cancellation of security approval has affected the company’s commercial operations in India.
He said that when the government canceled the security approval last week, the contracts with the company are also being canceled in many airports in India. He said, “The decision of the central government has canceled many contracts running at our airports across the country. It has had a direct and serious impact on our business.”
What is the matter?
The Government of India canceled the security approval of the Turki company Celebi because the Turkias openly supported Pakistan after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam. The government says that this is an issue related to national security, and hence this step has been taken. Now it is expected from the High Court that he will give his verdict in this matter on Monday.
